Beloved Grand Eagle
Hello again. Its been a while since i was on the forum but I'm back & any help or advice regarding my issues are most welcome.
For the last 3 years, things were gd & both my pelvic & back pain were gone to the extent that i was a happy productive human being working with various dog charities around the world & also working out physically doing yoga, zumba, aerobics etc.
Then in April this year I was in Mauritius & I had a most nasty fall in the bathroom. I slipped, land on my back first & then hit the back of my head on the step behind. I was dazed mainly by the sound of my head hitting the tiles & first & foremost my concern was for my head. The head started to swell almost immediately but since there was no dizziness or vision impairment my husband decided it wld be alright to take some pain killers & I lay in bed for the rest of the day under his watchful eye. The swelling was bad & the head sore & I took more painkillers but carried on with our holiday. the swelling eventually subsided after about a week & the soreness disappeared eventually.
Fast forward to June & I feel a dull pain in the lower left side of my back after bending over. The pain doesn't go away & gets worse. Then my left knee swells up & my left bunion acts up. By August I was in bad pain. My gait was affected, I couldn't walk properly so I had hip & lower back MRI done. Hips were fine but back came back with the following. Pls see attached.
I am treating this as TMS & try to do things normally but each day the pain gets worse. I was given anti inflammatories but I get tummy upset so just sticking to Panadol. Mornings r excruciating as the pain goes from back to knee in spasms.
What bothers me is that if it’s TMS & I’m treating it as such why isn’t the pain lessening or going away. Ij ust turned 61 & was wondering if age plays a factor in TMS.
Thank u.
