    Hi Everyone!

I really want to get to the bottom of my TMS. Has anoyone worked with a practitioner and had positive results? I am looking for a TMS specialist of some sort, hoping that they will SKYPE me or meet in person. I also am hoping that theyare reasonably priced! Please let me know your success story or someone you know.
    Thanks! :)

Have you found the wiki forum page for finding a TMS practitioner? How far from NYC are you?

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I saw that page but there were so many doctors, I was a little overwhelmed. I want to make sure that I choose one that someone has had success with. I was hoping someone on the wiki would have tried some out and gotten great results. Nyc is over an hour away. Doable but I was thinking of trying phone conferencing. I could go to nyc if u had a fantastic experience. Money is another issue though, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my back and am out of funds.

A TMS physician is not going to "cure" you. They will give you an "objective" evaluation as to whether you have a physical condition such as infection, fracture, etc., that may need to be treated from a structural perspective. If they find it's TMS, then you are free to pursue the TMS route, healing yourself from with-in. Some stubborn cases may need the help of a TMS trained psychotherapist. All you really need is in the books, TMS is not that complicated. I don't think there are any bad TMS doctors, there's only a small handful of them on the planet, some may "resonate" better for those who require resonation to connect their TMS dots.

Since you mentioned kids, Nicole Sachs LCSW, may be helpful for you since she has five of them. She's written a book about her TMS experience, "THE MEANING OF TRUTH", she's contributed here at the forum and has done phone chats here that you may be able to find at this site.

As far as cost, all therapists charge about the same, about $150 hr, market rate, more in NYC or DC. TMS therapists should get double because they actually do something that allopathic doctors don't, "cure" you without doing more harm. The problem is financially, by the time people find TMS, their pocket books have been emptied by all the fleecing they've endured undergoing placebo and snake-oyl cures from other practitioners and they have little or nothing left for the deserving TMS practitioners who can truly help them.

Here's her info, tell her tennis tom sent you:

She is also a recovered TMS patient herself, and a previous member of Dr. Sarno's Alumni Panels, where she would tell Dr. Sarno's new patients about her own experience with TMS. In 2013, the PTPN recorded an interview with Nicole Sachs, where she again described her battle with chronic pain, and her success with the TMS approach.

Just read Dr. Sarno's books...and internalize, internalize, internalize his message.
