Great suggestions. I especially like the one about commanding our muscles to do what we want them to do.

Who do our muscles think they are, anyway!

@Eric "Herbie" Watson Hi, I purchased the .99 Self Help for Fear and Anger but feel like I need something more substantial to flesh out some of the tools. Which of Abraham Low's books would you most recommend? Thanks!

Heya, Tala, I'm glad to see one of our community exploring this. I knew someone a while back who found Low to be super helpful. Low's advice is super concrete, and as a former family Doc, I think Dr. Sarno would approve (Dr. Sarno was an internist before becoming a physiatrist, and I see many of Dr. Sarno's psychological insights as coming from his days as a good old family doc - an internist. I have a couple of those in the family, so I have much respect for them.)

Anyway, I think the bible of Low's approach is Mental Health Through Will Training. Reading Self Help for Fear and Anger at the same time will probably be a nice complement.
