We are told what to believe, how to think, and that our bodies and minds are fixed in so many ways. Doctor Sarno, God bless him, is the first to wholly lead us to enlightenment in the physical sense and to enlighten us to some extent from psychological discomfort.

We are told our conscious thoughts, by Doctor Sarno's massive clinical experience, will affect the unconscious mind to interrupt the mindbody process that causes many problems in the body, and states of mind such as anxiety or depression, or worse.

Doctor Sarno bestows just praise to Sigmund Freud for elucidating the murky and mostly dark emotions in the unconscious. Yet, are we not able to help ourselves by making the decision to send programming from our conscious thought/awareness to our unconscious feelings and place positive emotions such as tenderness, and love, or peace of mind to replace anger, guilt, or etc.?

Will we make the decision to stop trying to get our brain to end pain inducing signals to soft tissue as distraction, or trying to figure out what is making us angry in the unconscious? We have the tools in our mind. Make the decision to replace negative unconscious emotions with uncompromising positive attributes. There is nothing to lose.

Stop fighting the will and use the will to find peace of mind and love inspite of our shortcomings.

This battle is the frontier of human evolution and Doctor Sarno would receive the Nobel Prize, if the Nobel Prize were worthy of his brilliant and humble contribution to humanity.

What brought us here? Faith and submission to our Lord. Jesus Christ is the leader to our healing.
