12 daily reminders

    On another topic, affirmations are supposed to be positive statements and in the present. Therefore, I've modified the 12 daily reminders into affirmation form. Is this presumptuous of me or a pretty good idea. What do you guys think? Has this come up before?

    Do you have them typed up? Can you post them? Personalizing something like the 12 daily reminders sounds good to me.

    I would love to see the affirmations you have, I believe you are doing great making them into affirmations. That's awesome, it should help you very well. I had them in my head from going over them so much, like don't fear the pain, think psychological, it's harmless and return to all physical activity.

    12 DAILY REMINDERS….DR. SARNO
    1. The pain is due to TMS.
    2. The direct reason for the pain is mild oxygen deprivation.
    3. TMS is a harmless condition caused by my REPRESSED EMOTIONS.
    4. The principle emotion is my repressed ANGER.
    5. TMS exists only to DISTRACT my attentions from the emotions.
    6. Since my body is perfectly normal, there is nothing to fear.
    7. Therefore, physical activity is harmless.
    8. I am resuming all normal physical activity.
    9. The pain is unimportant and powerless.
    10. My attention is on the emotional issues.
    11. I am in control of all of this.
    12. I’m thinking PSYCHOLOGICALLY AT ALL TIMES.

    thank you. I used to be "Tennis Kathi" until TMS got the better of me. I'm planning to have a comeback pretty soon, thanks to tmswiki and all the peers.
