What is the theory behind more unusual symptoms?

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. My parents, especially mother, had severe trauma a few years before I was born. Does that point to tms?

What is the theory behind more unusual symptoms?

@Booble thanks for the input. Apparently my psoriasis (which isn't too bad) began suddenly when I was 6 months old. Can that still fit in with tms?

What is the theory behind more unusual symptoms?

Yes I do a lot of meditation and it has helped a lot

What is the theory behind more unusual symptoms?

Thank you both. I've been trying to reduce the anxiety for years (Incl reading Claire Weekes). In terms of the double vision, how do I know for sure if it's tms? No one can give me an answer medically other than saying it's caused by age and one of my eyes has always naturally turned out and...

What is the theory behind more unusual symptoms?

I understand mild oxygen deprivation is theorised to be the cause behind the common symptoms such as back pain etc. However, what are the theories behind other symptoms? For example, I have chronic fatigue, dizziness, double vision, anxiety, migraines and psoriasis. Can mild oxygen deprivation...

2 steps forward 1 step back

Nice analogy. Thank you. And to add - I think this is a brilliant metaphor for looking at it in an optimal way (relaxed, laughable, such a joke) to avoid the repression and growing fear that would otherwise come about.

2 steps forward 1 step back

Thank you:happy:. It's been a crazy 5 years chasing a "cure". I've been down every dark alley in the sick city. Finally, I feel like I'm in an alley where I will not get mugged from my money and that might lead towards somewhere with light.

2 steps forward 1 step back

Interestingly when i started to read about the SI, I immediately could feel my fear kicking in. Oh no, no symptom X,Y & Z is going to come back. Heck I wonder what else I'll have to face. I'm never going to be able to kick this TMS thing as there will always be another "layer". TMS is a death...

2 steps forward 1 step back

So after some great initial success with alleviation of my dizziness, I'm now being welcomed by new symptoms I've had in the past (intrusive thoughts, anxiety, pains in the chest, bad sleep). Is this simply the mind trying to find a new "home" for the distraction?

    Something that's helping me

I believe this little 'trick/hack' is helping me so I wanted to share. Imagine a guiding force/person that is there with you all day long. Guiding, comforting and nudging you. I imagine Jesus (even though I wouldn't describe myself as having a strong Christian faith), but it could be anyone or...

    Goals!

I've always set goals for myself. Striving, pushing, achieving. Putting pressure on myself. Often quite extreme. I now realise this is part of my problem. This year I deliberately have set no goals. Yet the intrinsic pressure is still there. A big part of me feels uncomfortable not moving...
