  • My Story

I was raised in a household that was very matter-of-fact about the mind-body connection, and one of my earliest childhood memories is of my mom explaining to me that I had lost my voice because there was something important but scary that I needed to talk about. So when I found Sarno's work and the Pain Psychology Center several years into my clinical career, it felt like the perfect fit. I had already spent time crafting a mindfulness-based behavioral approach to the work I was doing in a clinical setting, and it translates well to coaching TMS clients. Apart from receiving further direct training from Alan Gordon, I have a strong background in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy and sex therapy. This all means that I work with my clients to set very tangible goals, and help them acquire the skills they need to achieve them, while emphasizing self-acceptance and adopting a non-judgmental stance throughout.
