Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Hi all. OP here. Checking back in to say I am 100% with no symptoms. My biggest bit of advice is surrender to the symptoms, stop chasing diagnosis and accept it. Expose yourself to normality - back with friends, public, people, hobbies, etc. Stop seeking reassurance. It might not be this year...

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Hello, I am the OP and am just checking in to say I very rarely get symptoms anymore. Sometimes I get some numbness in certain positions and such. But nothing like I had when I posted this. I am living proof you can move on from this. Thank you Dr John Sarno and everyone on this forum who...

Earache, tinnitus, tension headache and more, am I having TMS

I am very suspicious of this woman. Online research on various forums, as well as book reviews claim that this book is used to constantly plug her $2200 course. Not sure.

    Neuropathy after chemo

I'm no doctor so I can't comment, but I'd like to think the boy has youth on his side - the human body is an amazing thing, capable of anything!

    Neuropathy after chemo

Clear structural damage to the nerves due to chemotherapy, very common, read about it on countless neuropathy discussions. I would be lying to you if I said it could be TMS. Very unfortunate, wishing him a full recovery. There's no current treatment for neuropathy, however, there are some...

Earache, tinnitus, tension headache and more, am I having TMS

You're right, 90% of people with hearing loss don't have tinnitus. Maybe tinnitus is hearing DAMAGE rather than LOSS. Who knows? But yeah, I reckon there is for sure psychosomatic tinnitus, but mine is blaring like a flashbang the last few weeks, it is definitely NOT caused by TMS or...

Earache, tinnitus, tension headache and more, am I having TMS

Honestly, I believe tinnitus is a real condition caused by hearing loss, where your brain loses certain frequencies and replaces them with the EEEE. Now what might be TMS is the severity and fluctuations.

Earache, tinnitus, tension headache and more, am I having TMS

I also struggle with tinnitus and a host of other symptoms. I am fairly certain the tinnitus is from too much headphone use, but almost impossible to determine. I have hope it's influenced at least partly by TMS, since it "flares up" several times a year and then subsides. It almost always...

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Amazing. Please keep us in the loop. I have done lots of research on SFN and I am not fully convinced they can accurately measure the degradation of the small fibres. I spoke to a person from Europe who has had several tests in the same location and they produced different results every time. He...

Sorry to hear you're struggling mate. Unfortunately I am not a success story, but (at this moment) I feel like I've made some progress.

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Just checking in to say my symptoms have subsided considerably, almost not a factor in my life in the last few weeks/months. Of course, I've been here before and fully expect them to return, but my confidence has increased significantly that when they do re-appear I will handle the situation...

How long before your nerve symptoms started to improve?

It feels like nerve issues are the new "back pain" - I've noticed an increase in posts relating to neuropathic symptoms on this forum and on other discussion platforms as well. Could just be some form of confirmation bias or similar.

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Yes, this is one of the things keeping me going and feeding into the positive mindset and lessening the frequency of the sensations.. The fact that there are people on here who have survived it. It goes a long way.

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

You won’t find a practitioner who offers any of those treatments, or any who have even heard of them. That’s taking your health into your own hands (literally)

    Ear Fullness and Pain

Hey @banjoman, I have experienced many of your symptoms, including IBS, prostatitis, pelvic pain syndrome and tinnitus for 5 years+. Lately my ear fullness/tinnitus/crackling ears is really bothering me. Did you end up moving passed it?
