    Pain clinic - dispondent

    “he told me that he absolutely did not believe in TMS”.. Dismissing TMS outright as if it’s something akin to the tooth fairy, demonstrates a depth of unprofessional ignorance.. Run!!

    Is TMS really that smart?

    Yes they went away eventually. Sometimes I still get blindsided by difficult situations and complex emotions. The symptoms begin to return, but then go away as I work through what’s so upsetting.

    Is TMS really that smart?

    When I think back to having my severe symptoms (pain & tingling etc), before discovering TMS, I was extremely perfectionist/ people pleaser. Realistically, nothing less than thinking that I was physically damaged, would have seemed an acceptable enough reason to say no to people, slow down, or...

    Does anyone else experience dramatic lowering of symptoms at a doctors office?

    In 2005, after 3 months of crippling back pain, and uncertainty about what was so wrong, I attended an appointment with a spinal surgeon. I was reassured and booked in for a surgery to be performed a few days later. The next morning most of my pain had gone, and I was able to do normal...

    How to know there are no more repressed emotions?is it necessary to know personality framing events

    I find that if digging deeper feels worthwhile, or like it can bring relief in the present moment then do it. If it feels more like a chore, then forget it and do something that’s currently more satisfying/rewarding/enjoyable.

    TMS = Boiling Pot?

    Looking at emotions gently and with support is a good idea, with the reason for looking at them being to gain some relief. Going in too unprepared can sometimes trigger severe pain/symptoms.

    Australian article on back pain

    Thanks for the article. I had 3 years of treatment In Australia before finding TMS online. The treatment here in Australia does seem to have less emphasis on structural. But unfortunately is still clueless about repressed emotions being the root cause (and cure).

    Interesting TED talk on schizophrenia as a TMS equivalent

    An Interesting documentary on how childhood trauma can be the root cause of hallucinations and hearing voices etc Documentary: Why Did I Go Mad? 2017 For hundreds of years, psychiatry has treated voices and hallucinations as an enemy – regarding them as ‘insanity’ or ‘madness’ and seeing...

    “Positive” thinking vs social transformation

    Article: https://www.opendemocracy.net/transformation/sonja-avlijas/why-positive-thinking-isn-t-neoliberal (Why positive thinking isn’t neoliberal) Does anybody else find that “positive” thinking is sometimes just a hoax that’s contributing to TMS?
