Is there a recommended sequence for the 3 support programs here?

Yes. I joined Curable and it, together with therapy, is making a huge difference. Curable is basically a program on an app, but when you become a member you also get access to the Curable FB group, and there are aspects of that group that annoy me, but I think it's a terrific program...

    Australian article on back pain

In Australia the professionals who most encourage the structural approach are the physios (for non Aussies, that's physiotherapists, who are very common here and who are usually the first professionals GPs refer you to for pain), and some of them will have you coming back again for more and more...

    Australian article on back pain

I think people will find this article published in The Age newspaper and The Sydney Morning Herald very interesting. It indicated that the medical consensus about back pain seems to be changing somewhat, at least in Australia...

New Program Day 5: Changing Your Brain

Thanks to Alan for this fantastic program! I’ve come to definitely see fear as pivotal to the way my pain got set in its pattern and perpetuates itself. I very much relate to what Kat said about ‘pacing’ in the Day 4 thread (I wasn’t sure whether which thread to reply to but decided that Day 5...

    Fibromyalgia

Hi Ange, I just wanted to let you know that I seem to be in the exact same boat as you. I have pain on some level all, or most, of the time, but pain brings an increase in pain (everywhere, but especially burning in my legs and feet) some time after activity. My fear is focused on walking -...

Good Stuff from an English Bloke

Ah, so if we're talking about 'getting better' from an athletic performance point of view, I can understand the emphasis here. Thanks for clarifying. It (the healing from TMS point of view) does seem a bit Zen, doesn't it? You have to want to heal so you need to try, but if you try too hard...

Good Stuff from an English Bloke

Seems to me there is seemingly contradictory advice around on how to heal. On the one hand, as expressed here: you can't just wait for it to happen, you must do the inner work and be focused on it; on the other hand, the idea (which I've seen frequently on this forum as well) that if you do the...

    BACKLASH SHARING TMS

Just listened to the whole of the video mentioned above and see that some of my comments are redundant because he's already mentioned them - apologies for the repetition! :-)

    BACKLASH SHARING TMS

I used to belong to several of those groups before learning about TMS, and can attest to the relentless wallowing and self-perpetuating obsessiveness that often goes on in them. But as others here have already pointed out, there are good reasons for this pattern. When you’re diagnosed with...
