    Can't believe I'm a SUCCESS story - Feet pain 15 years 90% gone!!

Thanks for your words of encouragement. Reading Unlearn Your Pain is really starting to work for me. But I can totally relate. I just want to be done with it, but that isn't the way it works, at least not with me...In going through my history, I've come to learn that I've actually had lots of...

It's both a book and a workbook. The author has another book called Unlearn Your Anxiety and Depression. So Unlearn Your Pain and Unlearn Your Anxiety and Depression each have five chapters, which you can buy separately or with the workbook. However, the workbook is the same for both, so you...

    Can't believe I'm a SUCCESS story - Feet pain 15 years 90% gone!!

Thank you for sharing your success story! I am currently working on TMS in my feet and it's harder to find others with TMS in their feet vs. back, neck, etc. It really helps to know that others have dealt with and overcome this form of TMS. I find that feet are harder for me than other areas...

    Dreams

It's been an interesting week. I've sort of fallen off this program because I'm reading Unlearn Your Pain by Howard Schubiner and that seems to really be helping my brain... At any rate, the past two nights have been interesting in terms of my unconscious mind absorbing some of this stuff...

    Day 8 - Triggers

Yes, I just need to keep going with it all. Unlearn Your Pain is very good so far...I think it will be a big help, but I also need to keep going with all this stuff too. One day at a time.

    Day 8 - Triggers

I'm having a tough few days too! Back on the program and just downloaded Unlearn Your Pain (book) so I hope to stay focused on the deeper issue and retrain my brain. It's hard. I feel very discouraged these days. But I've decided to buy a bike trainer so that I can get back on my bike, even for...

Day 15 From Fibromyalgia to IBS

I can relate. I stopped the program for ten days because it's so exhausting and discouraging sometimes, what with all the emotional upheaval. I am starting to see why the brain prefers the physical pain sometimes...

    Day 8 The hip diaries

Today I want to tell the story of my hip, even though it is long-cured and my current TMS is in my feet. I feel the need to draw a comparison for my mind to really believe that my feet are also TMS, just as my hip once was. About ten years ago, I had an onset of completely debilitating hip...

    Day 1 Hello, guys -

I think this is important. I think I need to go more gradually too and learn to be okay with that. I judge myself very harshly that I'm not improving fast enough, which as Alan points out is just putting more pressure on the self and in turn furthering the TMS cycle. I am very impatient by...

    Day 8 - Triggers

I also agree that sometimes the best things in life are also triggers for me, perhaps because I care so much about them. For instance, I'm obsessed with making sure I take my dog out for enough exercise. So when my husband is away, which is often, I often panic (trigger): How will I make sure...

    Day 6 Fear

I have fallen off the wagon with this program for the past week or so. I'm just so burnt out with the effort and the struggle and the emotional upheaval. The pain has hit back hard, too, and I've been desperately depressed and had some very, very dark thoughts and moments. Although I have gone...

    Day 6 Fear

Gutter3: you sound like you're in a similar spot as me. It's tough. I'm finding that I am a bit better, but not seeing any new progress. I don't know. It's a real struggle.
