  • My Story

Hello. Today is the first day of the rest of my pain-free life. I am a second year medical student forced to take a leave of absence due to agonizing bilateral hip and myofascial/chronic pelvic floor dysfunction. Up until I started medical school I was an avid runner, athlete, and basketball and volleyball player (high school and college). I have been suffering with severe pain for the past 18 months and am completely worn from fighting through this. There are four things in life that make me tick: Serving the Lord, my family, exercise/physical activity, and school (all of these have just about been taken away-I feel like Job) I long to regain my physical health and crave being able to exercise/live pain free. I know that God will heal my pain in his time and am excited and hopeful to begin this journey to ending my misery and pain. . . . I will pray for everyone else on this blog too. Here we go!
