    CRPS trial in Australia

Just in case it interests someone in Oz. Lorimer Moseley is involved so might be worth following up.

    Dizziness, Neck Pain, Anxiety

Hi Learningmore, Didn't mean to ignore your question, but I've been on holidays for Christmas. I don't know what a nucca chiropractor is, however, I have gained a lot of information on how our whole body system works by reading Stanley Rosenberg's Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve...

Severe depression and anxiety - PLEASE HELP!

Hi David, I'm not a therapist of any kind, I'm a TMSer just like you. I'm guessing a good few on this forum could have written your post and most probably have. It seems a dark old place, but trust me there is always a soft light to guide you. Try listening to Claire Weekes on youtube, the...

New here. So how on earth do you identify blind spots for recovery?

Hiya Sam, if you haven’t already, make a coffee and read the thread “What else is there - Seriously”. There might be a few “harsh” words, but there is also loads of damn good advice from some damn good advice givers. Cheers marls.

Two non-TMS books that really helped me.

Thanks Joanne for the suggestions. I particularly like the idea of how pain becomes a habit. I’ve been making a conscious effort to avoid any kind of negativity and have noticed a definite shift in my pain and therefore away from the 24x7 loop of gloomy stuff BUT I have found myself feeling a...

Say No to Negativity: 7 Scientifically Proven Tips to Keep Negative Thoughts Away

Thanks BloodMoon for posting this. I’ve spent a couple of years doing the 2 steps forward, 3 back, 4 forward blah blah, but I have definitely felt a change in my pain and my general well-being since doing the positive stuff. For me the positivity has become an anchor to hold me steady...

    Psychological Symptoms

Hi David, I’m sorry I can’t give you the answer you are looking for but I have been in your “place” the odd few times. I liken it to Claire Weekes who said something along the lines of “it’s just a tired brain sending tired messages” and I consciously agree to this. I then tell my brain “OK...

What else is there - Seriously

Hey Eskimo, just for interest, have you done much charity work? As in hard, full on, stay on your feet, type stuff. Really good for the soul I can assure you and you’ll know what ‘living your life’ is about when you give a bit of it to others, cheers marls

What else is there - Seriously

He knows his stuff Eskimo and is certainly passionate about helping people. The Facebook page is interesting re people healing. Have a gander at his symptom list for an idea of how you would fit in with it. I like that the trigger point massage feels self-soothing. And his emphasis also is...

Emotions are "stored in the body"

I live rural Jeather and there is limited therapy of any specialised nature, so I’ve done the exercises alone. I don’t even bother with the pre-exercise exercises I just dive right in (after doing the curtains of course).

What else is there - Seriously

“”It's true that every second of every day all that I want to do, regardless of who I'm with or what I'm doing is ask: 1. Why does my neck hurt?”” just for interest Eskimo have you had a good look at curalistic.com and his Facebook page? marls

What else is there - Seriously

@Miller I don't know that I "burned through my negative emotions", but I do know that I increased my positive emotions which I felt created my own "state of balance". One trick for me - I printed a list of positive emotions and picked one and just dwelt on it. Savored it. Thought about how...

    Dizziness, Neck Pain, Anxiety

Yes I have Amina, I have found relief. I still have "quirky" days when my body and mind seem to be on different agendas, but that's OK, I roll with it and perhaps do a little less. For me, the TMS work, was more about understanding my body's reactions and being sympathetic to them and making...

Emotions are "stored in the body"

Hi Jeather, I haven't read Peter's book, but I have taken to his TRE exercises and I do them every couple of days. The first time is a bit scarey, but I've learned to relax and allow my body to do as it wishes. I try for an almost meditative state, repeating "let go" or "trust'. But a word...
