I have this weird pain where no matter how loose I tie my shoes, it hurts! My laces can be so loose that my shoe is about to fall off any moment walking and my foot still hurts. It hurts right under where I knot my laces, I have this pain on and off for the last 5 years. Some shoes are fine...
I seem to be suffering from a lot of fatigue for the last few years. I think it's TMS related, but I am not sure 100% sure.
I sleep fine at night, then in the day I will sometimes get overwhelming fatigue and need to lie down for a while. It's like a nap but without the sleep. Other times at...
Thanks for your quick reply, much appreciated. I can think of lots of things I want to say but don't know how to express them. Most of the things are negative things and I don't know how to say them in a nice way (people pleasing/goodist) Time to do some journaling about what I really want to say...
I keep getting a weird thing where I feel like I have a sore throat and when I speak my voice sounds hoarse or gravelly to me. However when I speak everyone says my voice sounds normal, when to me it doesn't sound right. I have recorded my voice and I am convinced it will sound hoarse, but when...
Quick prefix I have pain top on top of my foot when wearing most shoes, this pain started after I took up running a couple of years ago. It feels like laces are too tight but they literally can't be any looser or shoe would fall off!
Q: When was the last time you exercised or did another...
Thanks so much for your post, this community has some lovely people. I think your reply is just what I needed to hear.
When you say meditating, what kind do you mean? Or just standard focusing on the breathe?
Great news to hear you out and about doing so much considering you used to be in a...
As the title says I have been having ankle pain for the last 3 years. I am pretty sure it's TMS, but I am not 100% sure. This isn't 1st my time going through the SEP - in the past I have had chronic shoulder, wrist, hip and foot pain - these are all mostly better after following Dr Sarno's books...

Thanks that's really helpful.
It's interesting how any object i.e. computer or clothing can trigger TMS symptoms. I do find the less the pain makes sense, the more likely it's TMS. Interesting story about the umpire, no you don't want to upset them!
Thanks for your reply. Yes guilty as charged putting my needs aside!
I didn't even know Alan had a new book, I will check it out. Like you say a deeper dive is needed maybe.
