    Daniel L. pain and anxiety

and I'm back. I've been weaning off medication so the anxiety and depression are here with a vengeance. I re-read the first five chapters (available on Kindle) for Unlearn Your Anxiety and Depression, and really liked it. I seemed to have donated my actual Unlearn Your Pain book though so the...

Best book for anxiety by claire weeks ??

The book I have is Hope and Help for your Nerves. It did give me a lot of hope, but I did eventually use medication for my depression. These days, I get bouts of anxiety. I wonder what it takes to really get the help? http://www.tmshelp.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4638 (TMSHelp Forum - stuck...

    Any young TMSers?

I have always been sensitive and a goodist. My mom said I used to get stomachaches from doing speed math facts at school. But my headaches started around junior high and my RSI when I was a late teenager. I discovered Sarno in college.

    Daniel L. pain and anxiety

Interesting perspective about conditioning the body for anger. So you don't feel it's profitable as a sort of way of "getting it out"? just re checked the Unlearn your Pain book, Schubiner calls it ISTDP... encourages patients to get angry at their pain

How do you cope with knowing friends also have TMS?

So I got the HBP book, and one thing is, I never read any of Sarno's books when I combatted my RSI. However, my friend has a real problem with the idea that she may be repressing anger. I can understand-- no one would want to admit that and it seems like an odd concept, to have anger buried...

Day 3 Just a quick journal.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was maybe 12 when it happened, and had just gotten baptized, so I was quite excited. Then the lady next to me passed the plate over me to someone else, and I think I may have tried to say something but wasn't really heard, or I couldn't get it out, or I just felt...

    Anxiety Question

I'm having this problem right now as well. I overcame TMS in the form of RSI years ago, but now for years have been having anxiety that has steadily increased. It's probably RSI, but my knowledge of TMS is not enough for the anxiety. I am taking medication because I was in quite a desperate...

Is stuttering a manifestation of TMS?

wow! As someone who studied to become a speech-language pathologist, this is amazing news to me.

How do you cope with knowing friends also have TMS?

Thank you, I'll think about getting HBP though I have never read it myself. One of my friends is "kind of" interested, but says she thinks she needs someone to talk to her and explain things. I'm not really confident or able to do that myself, and I'm not sure of any people here I should refer...

Day 3 Just a quick journal.

It's actually day 4, but right now I'm on day 3. Hope that's okay. The perfectionist in me is like, oh no, I'm a day behind! What is this going to do to my healing? The last couple days I felt pretty good. Even my husband noticed I was doing better. Today though, I woke up with heaviness...

I love sleeping as well and am not woken up by pain either! Interesting thought.
