Pelvic pain progress sitting but standing pain...

“instead of physically cringing away from the feeling or trying to manually relax my muscles.” I defintely a gree with avoiding this, and its a huge thing in the pelvic floor space especially from the actual practioners/specialists. I was never able to consciously ‘relax’ my pelvic muscles...

Pelvic pain progress sitting but standing pain...

Thanks a lot for the responses guys. Thing is i think have been largely living my life normally the last 5 months while making a point to sit a lot which has as mentioned removed my sitting pain. I'd say i didnt go gungho per say, like if pain got bad i'd allow myself to stop, i just was...

Pelvic pain progress sitting but standing pain...

Taking on Dan bulgio's approach of graded exposure to the posture where the brains learned pain alongside messages of safety and just behaving in a way in which tells the subconcious its not in danger has completely got rid of my sitting pelvic pain basically. I stopped doing belly breathing...

    Circadic sleep disorders

Oh wow thats great to know i really appreciate that! Gives me hope. What is the book called i'd be interested to check it out? Asking google "the circadian rhythm is a core function of the nervous system. While "biological clocks" exist in almost every cell in the body, they are orchestrated and...

    Circadic sleep disorders

Yeah no totally and thanks that self compassion section and audio bit was nice to listen to. I'm journalling for 20 mins then meditating after. I think im just going to apply tms approach to it and cut that nap out and choose to view my system as not broken.

    Circadic sleep disorders

I’ve been learning about the work of Dr. Sarno, Dan Buglio and TMS generally. I've managed to really improve some of my chronic issues. But theres this one health issue i have thats very rare, under researched and those that have struggle a lot with it. For context my TMS History: Age 12-18...

    My pelvic pain is TMS?

Sounds like our experience alligns! I've just got started with Nicole's journal speak and i really do think this will be the missing puzzle if there is one. Because i would defintely say the stuff she says people with tms do regarding habitual thinking and processing emotions is in line with...

    My pelvic pain is TMS?

Yeah i imagine belly breathing and somatic tracking is a nice addition but as you say with the right mindset, your physically telling your your body its safe, the reason it didn't help for me i think is because while you can try physically telling the body its ok if mentally im doing it with an...

    My pelvic pain is TMS?

So yes i dont think in its core Dan's stuff is super different to probably quite a few others but theres nuances for me that really hit home and worked for pelvic pain. So its all about teaching safety to the brain and not sending it the wrong messages by how we think but also by how we act. Its...

    Pelvic pain/hard flaccid/ED

I bought the audiobook last night! It seemed like the best option for understanding and then doing the work. And yeah i think i need to see an actual therapist. If theres one i can find aware of tms then that would be good. I dont know what else to look for in one.

    Pelvic pain/hard flaccid/ED

Thanks again everyone for the responses. And your right i've watched quite a few of Dan's success stories, all his ones on pelvic pain and they do often, i think most said they did journaling and emotional work/read sarno's stuff too on top of Dan's stuff. I'll defintely give it good go should...

    Pelvic pain/hard flaccid/ED

Thanks all for the responses!! Removing terms used i think is a good idea, with sitting pain i just saw it as mind body pain i didn't reference or think of the exact part of the pelvis it hurt in or call it oh my pelvic floor is hurting. For me the ED naturally comes with emotional weight...
