    Fear of permanent damage

man… just rereading that sentence I wrote and hearing you say the same made me tear up. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I actually played baseball my whole life and got injured right before my senior season after getting picked to be pre season golden glove winner for our...

    Fear of permanent damage

Thank you for the reassurance TG. I'll check out your recovery today. Yesterday I went out and washed the car for the first time since injuring my shoulders/arms and it felt really good to do that! Then i went for a short hike in the evening. I'm paying for it a bit today but I know that being...

    Fear of permanent damage

Hey all, I’m fairly new to the TMS approach and am still trying to wrap my head around all of it so bare with me. I actually heard about it thru a podcast called hypochondriactor and the physician asked the host “have you heard of the work of John Sarno?” So I googled him. I listened to the...

    I quit caffeine (TMS impact)

I dropped my caffeine intake drastically with the pandemic. My anxiety was getting really bad and especially in the mornings. It really helped. I still drink half of a small iced coffee in the mornings just to keep the headaches away.

    Long Covid is TMS

Thanks for the welcome! I'm just not seeing the "post new thread" anywhere in the top right. I work in IT so I swear I know what I'm doing haha.

    Long Covid is TMS

I actually am on her 3rd episode after your recommendation and it’s very cool. I saw a counselor 3 times and after the first one I had my first panic attack ever right after. The next 2 were better but they still made me feel worse after. I think I should give it another try and stick with it.

    Long Covid is TMS

I know I need to, I’m just so afraid. I have a 3 year old I take care of and a job that I am scared to lose if I flare myself up worse. Also, does it take a few days before you can start a thread? I don’t see the option anywhere.

    Long Covid is TMS

I really appreciate that! I feel so much pressure because I got my dream job and everything was going amazing before covid but then I also feared losing my job and then losing my family amongst other things. I started journaling and it helped but then I tried swinging a golf club for the first...

    Chronic Forearm Pain/Unrelenting Pinky Twitch

How are you doing now? I'm dealing with cubital tunnel in both elbows after back, hip, shoulder injuries this year too. Mine was diagnosed with a nerve conduction test as mild slowing at the cubital tunnel. The less i think about it the better it gets i notice.

    Long Covid is TMS

Thank you, I've listened to both of Dr. Sarno's books and I see myself so much in what he says. My big issue is that I have nerve conduction test telling me I have nerve damage in my elbows and it's really hard to get over that mental hurdle. I'm trying my best to find ways to convince myself...

    Long Covid is TMS

My injuries/pain all started when the pandemic did. Anxiety for the health of my family is what triggered it all I'm sure. Now to just convince myself it's TMS and get over this!
