I am 99.9 % sure I suffer from TMS, however I was in a horrible sports accident and my neck got crushed into a concrete tennis court while playing roller hockey , and I wasn't wearing a helmet. I ended up losing feeling in 2 fingers and had excruciating arm pain. They fused 2 cervical levels , and said you will need to have 2 more fused later down the road . The feeling in my fingers immediately came back and my arm pain was gone after surgery. I soon began to have upper, mid, and lower back pain, as well as pelvic pain . The back pain was unbearable and I fought it with Vicodin for 4.5 years and fentanyl patch for 1.5 years. I ended up putting myself in 90 day inpatient re-hab to get off narcotics. The re-hab was called Narconon and they have no idea what they were doing , because they are basically a front for recruiting Scientology. NBC actually did a special report on how awful and deceptive they are, the short of it is I almost died in re-hab because they have no idea how to ween people off of narcotics . i barely survived and somehow made it thru the 90 days. As months went by post re-hab I started to physically feel better and began jogging 2 miles every other day. My pain was not gone but bearable and the endorphin rush from jogging again after 10 years was great. Now I still had all the back pains just it was at like a 4 instead of a 9 or 10. Sitting for a long time and lengthy car rides still were trouble , but my pain would slowly subside somewhat once it was over. I probably also over exercised with playing basketball , knowing I shouldn't with my neck problems, but hey I felt pretty good so I did it, and loved it. 2 years later the neck pain came back, and I have been avoiding another fusion because I'm scared , but am also tired of not being able to exercise because it hurts my neck. Structurally my neck is a mess , and I understand it and it makes complete sense , however my back x-rays and MRI are completely normal. So now after deciding to go with the neck surgery soon, I have been doing all I can to get my back to feeling as good as possible so I started seeing a chiropractor with just easy spine manipulations, doesn't hurt at all during , but it has caused all my back pains to come roaring back to a 9 or 10. I have extreme anxiety and depression and feel "MOST" of the back pain is TMS . I just ordered a Sarno book , but I truly believe what I've read on this site and what everybody says had a lot of validity. I've tried everything from A to Z , and spent about 100K on trying to figure this out. I live in Texas , and I am even considering going to see Jonna Lee Barta from Allen, Texas who specializes in TMS , has anyone ever heard of her ?
    Anyway thanks for listening .
