Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

Read my posts from before and now this: I bought in 100% to this being TMS and have spent a lot time on these areas. 1) being mindful of how often i was looking for or thinking about my symptoms, despite how intense they are. I was SHOCKED at how frequently I was paying attention to my...

    Burning/stinging

I have similar symptoms all over and believe it is a directly related to a heightened nervous system.

    Burning pain

I've been practicing for a few months. I'm not symptom free yet but suffering much less. I had to be ok with being uncomfortable.....something I was terrible at before all this started. Thats why somatic tracking is so powerful in my opinion in that it helps to slowly take the suffering...

    Burning pain

Same symptoms, full body. Learning and practicing indifference for us anxious types is both the hardest thing and for me the most important. Not out of the woods yet but significant improvement and not being afraid of symptoms is unbelievablely different than before....success is not linear...

    Parathsesia

Was having a rough week the week I wrote this followed by a great 8 days or so. Now back as intense as ever....its like a roller coaster.

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

I was diagnosed with SFN and have made considerable progress. When I treated SFN as a nerve disease I was in bad shape. When I finally believed it was TMS and started this journey I started seeing results. Progress is slow and non linear but tangible.

TMS support group? (either zoom or irl, support group like in "This Might Hurt")

Loved it. Focused on education and guiding you through various topics like identity, fear, etc. Also have 2 sessions with TMS doctors to ask questions.

TMS support group? (either zoom or irl, support group like in "This Might Hurt")

Curable does groups on a regular basis. I just participated in a 12 week group and we are continuing to meet on our own going forward.

    Parathsesia

On my journey through numbness, burning, tingling that started in the middle of a crazy high anxiety episode. As I practice indifference the symptoms have spread throughout 95% of my body. I'm calmer now than I have been in a decade despite the symptoms. Assume spreading is a good thing...

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

The Neurologist that did my biopsy was my 2nd opinion. I find it hard to believe that I developed neuropathy after 47 years in the middle of a week long panic attack....that would be the biggest coincidence of my life. The arm pain literally started after I had been crying for 20 minutes from...

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

My QSART was normal and my biopsy showed mild distal SFN (5th percentile in all three biopsy locations) but my neurologist that performed the testing (Cleveland Clinic) does not believe my symptoms are from SFN. He believes this is Central Sensitization which is also considered a TMS...

Numbness, tingling, electric shocks, paresthesia, allydonia, small fiber neuropathy

I am 8 months into burning/numbness/tingling. Started during HIGH ANXIETY times in my arms and has sense "spread" to basically my entire body. I feel better when exercising, eating, meditating, showering. While things feel cold I don't have sensitivity to temp changes. Pain comes and goes in...
