My Story
Where do I begin ???
Prior to 2004 I was a very active person !
I'm in my 40's ,and from the Uk, for the last 12 years I have been disabled by chronic pain, after an epidural went wrong in March 2004, on the birth of my fourth child... the needle accidentally punctured my dura, causing spinal nerve damage, and an infected epidural hematoma, and I contracted septicemia.
I have mobility problems and use a crutch to walk, and if pain is out of control an electric wheelchair too. Severe Neck and Back pain are my main symptoms.
I was physically/emotionally/verbally abused at the hands of my 'mother' the earliest memory I have of it, is at age 4 years old ... it continued until I finally left home when I turned 18 years old, but it didn't finish there, the verbal abused continued until I decided to confront her about all her abuse... that's when she disowned me in Oct 2004
Mid 2015 , I hit my LOWEST point, pain and depression were WAY out of control - so in the midst of doing one of 'my routine' Google searches, (to try to find out WHAT was wrong with me !!) I stumbbled upon TMS .. started reading/watching videos/found this forum/and on the 31st Oct 2015 bought/read 2 of Dr Sarno's books...
Like other people have said, I too , saw myself on EVERY SINGLE page ! Fianally 'something fitted me' NOTHING had EVER properly fitted before - I TRULY BELIEVE I have tms - I have ALL the personality traits that Dr Sarno describes, there have been times when all of a sudden I might feel a little better - but then I would get worse again ... Strong medication (slow release morphine to name but one of the many drugs I was on) DIDN'T always help the pain.
So I am at the moment right at the very beginning of my tms Fight, already I HAVE had improvements, and right this second a decline too, but I feel so strongly about TMS fitting me, that 'Im willing to fight.
