shortness of breath driving me crazy

Thanks for your reply. I was terribly concerned for awhile and the doctors seemed to concerned as well. Hence, all the medical tests. In the end they just gave up. Gee, thanks, docs.

shortness of breath driving me crazy

Thank you for taking the time to reply to me. Very helpful. Funny you should mention dizziness--I have that too! I will look up the deep breathing exercise and start right away! Thanks again.

shortness of breath driving me crazy

I've had shortness of breath for a year. Heart, lungs, blood work, x-rays all checked out. It's TMS. Does not occur when sleeping, watching TV or driving. How do I ignore it? This is about the 20th TMS symptom I've had. It is the worst. Thanks for the help and support. Everything else I...

Steven Ozanich TMS and Pop Culture

I recently watched the TV movie about Bernie Madoff who was shown in the end when he was about to give him up, under tremendous pressure, constantly on his back in his office because of back pain. TMS!

Steven Ozanich TMS The Man Sarno

I agree that people can have their say--I just think mutual respect is in order all around. Maybe that is a "goodist" statement, but I have let it all hang out elsewhere on the 'net and lived and learned better...cool off first before you embarrass yourself.

Steven Ozanich TMS The Man Sarno

It is altogether too easy to dissolve into disrespect and lack of civility on the internet due to the relative anonymity. I hope no one gives anyone a pass on "the rules" because they may be in pain. If one is tempted to write or respond when frustrated, in pain or in any negative state of...

Day 26 the last conversation w/ parents

Lizzie: Sorry that I did not know the whole story. Sounds like this is a lot more to deal with than what I was describing and ascribing. Sometimes it is appropriate to just give up and move on, and the only thing you can do, really, for your own sanity and well-being and to pick the...

Day 26 the last conversation w/ parents

Lizzy: I think that I know what you are talking about, but here is my take on a similar issue that I have had. My son in law feels very free to intercede between me and anyone else, a waiter or a family member when I confront the waiter or family member. My son in law evidently confuses me...

My TMS Success Story (crippling foot pain - plantar fasciitis, wrist pain, eye pain)

I am working very hard on honoring what I want. I deserve to have what I want, and that is not selfish, it just feels so selfish. It is also not good for me to fail to honor myself, although it can feel like I am being so much better than they, selfishly, are being. I also deserve to be...

My TMS Success Story (crippling foot pain - plantar fasciitis, wrist pain, eye pain)

Boston: the divorce scenario as you describe it certainly pinpoints you as a "goodist," doesn't it? We cope rather "too well." I know that I have a tendancy to "take care of" another person's feelings while not considering my own feelings important. That is how I got married many years ago...

My TMS Success Story (crippling foot pain - plantar fasciitis, wrist pain, eye pain)

Thanks, Anita, i am working on this, trying to ignore the symptoms and not make plans and provision for more doctor visits, and am using the wrists as well as i am able. Today has been difficult as they are so swollen and today the veins in my arms are so visible--this is new. I took two...

My TMS Success Story (crippling foot pain - plantar fasciitis, wrist pain, eye pain)

Yikes! Sarno, the authority, planted the 'takes longer to cure' seed. Yeah, that is interesting! We are all human...
