Profound teaching on working with pain

Great addition @BloodMoon ! Thanks for sharing the links. I haven't read that book either but worked with that Pain Relief audio(prior to the Breaking Through Difficult Emotions mentioned above) for a long while and highly recommend! The breath pleasure meditation if you're there is...

Profound teaching on working with pain

Hiya all, it's been a minute since I have been on here...hope you are all finding your way with meaningful shifts! This article is by one of my heroes, Shinzen Young. Without his guidance and audios(especially Breakthrough Difficult Emotions) I honestly don't know where I would be. It won't be...

New here and trying to escape pain, obsession and despair

Yeah it's a trap ;) doing it right...cue the obessive perfectionist hehehe! @Baseball65 shared a great technique for obsessive thoughts... I think it's called the stop technique. Maybe have a search? Claire Weekes audios or her book Help and Healing for Your Nerves?

New here and trying to escape pain, obsession and despair

So great that you found your way here Jimmy! You're in the finest of company with so many others who have been where you are and share their wisdom generously. Many of us are still trudging through the muck. Oh wait, i think that's just called life. Maintaining a decent, if wry, sense of humour...

    Falling into despair over journaling

Yeah, it tends to be like that for me too. It's the how I am focussing though, not the on what. C.W's floating technique helps me with this; I think it's even just the word use...floating instead of (somatic)tracking. Feels so much lighter and easy going to me, and I definitely need some...

Great article about those 3am anxiety sessions

Thanks for posting this Jan. From the article... "Have you noticed the 3am thoughts are very self-focused? In the quiet dark, it’s easy to slide unknowingly into a state of extreme egocentricity. Circling round the concept “I”, we can generate painful backwards-looking feelings like guilt or...

    Falling into despair over journaling

I can relate to how you describe your experiences atm, as I am sure so many of us can. It's really tough indeed. I hear honesty, bravery and wisdom in your words @cap23 Hitting bedrock-that's what I call meeting these feelings of unworthiness, self hatred and shame that aren't just fleeting...

    Partner still triggering my symptoms

Wow, everyone's responses are so great, I'll just add my 2 cents anyway since I've been writing while others respond, just in case it is of any help. Apologies if this is off base and just all about me ;) My partner and I both experienced trauma in childhood...opposite learned attachments-me...

    Is anxiety during Menopause TMS?

Thank you for sharing @Cactusflower! I have a close friend with endometriosis and experiences like you shared. Seems menopause would be a welcome relief and nothing it could throw at you would phase you after what you'd already dealt with for years? Phewf. I was never anxious about it either...

    Is anxiety during Menopause TMS?

If I may share some experience and thoughts on the subject...I was going to start a thread a while back with these thoughts but didn't. So, here they are now... I started my TMS adventure January last year, reading Alan Gordon, Sarno, and working the SEP. I experienced the symptom imperative...
