When I think about activities I truly enjoy, the ones that stand out most are exercising, being genuinely engaged at work, and going outside for walks. These are all things that usually make me feel better, more alive, and more connected to myself.

If I could do these activities without anxiety, stress, or worrying about pain or fatigue, I imagine it would feel light, free, and natural. I would feel more present instead of constantly monitoring how my body feels or whether I’m “doing too much.”

I notice that I often don’t do these activities as much as I’d like because pain, fatigue, or fear tend to take the lead. After exercising, for example, I sometimes focus too much on discomfort instead of the fact that movement itself is something I enjoy. At work, internal pressure and responsibility can pull me out of genuine engagement.

One step I can take is to stop letting symptoms dictate my choices so strongly. Instead of waiting to feel perfectly rested or pain-free, I want to gently reintroduce these activities without making them a test or a goal. This week, I plan to move my body, go for walks, and engage more fully in my daily activities while practicing less monitoring and more trust.

I see this as part of prioritizing myself, not by pushing harder, but by allowing myself to live more freely even when symptoms are present.
