My son is first grade student. Since his handwriting is bad, I used to train him to write in a cursive writing book. He was practicing it in a good manner. From last week I found that he is not writing through the line. I scolded him the first day. Next day also the same thing happened and I asked him whether he is able to see the line or not. He said that in the beginning, he was able to see the line but coming to the end he is not able to see and added that his eyes are paining when he concentrate more. I am planning to take him to an ophthalmologist in Toronto this weekend. Is this due to vision reduction? Will the doctor advise to use glasses? Or it can be corrected using eye drops? If corrective glasses are recommended, can anyone suggest unbreakable glasses? Please give me genuine replies.

We can look back on our lives and "see" in hindsight so many physical issues that began with a trauma. When I was 13 I went to a friend's house where her brother, he was around 19, said she was in her room. He was the only one there and tried to rape me, but thankfully I got away. I went home and told my dad, and he said it was my fault. That was the end of the discussion. That year I developed anorexia and a need for reading glasses. There seem to be no coincidents in TMS.

The anorexia turned to overweight by the time I was 21. I have used tms tools to work on both issues, and use weak glasses and like many in our early 50's would like to lose 10 lbs.

Norma, I would like to hear what you have learned about your son's vision, do you think it was tension because he was pressuring himself about writing?
