This has been nothing short of a disaster year for me. My life has come to a devastating halt and this has probably been my worst year to date. Weirdly enough, this past month has been incredible. I have found some new inner strength — which admittedly is partly thanks to meds — and was also blessed to find this forum. The people here have been kind and understanding; this has been a godsend. It is the resilience and incredible attitude of the folks here that has given me this new hope. I suddenly find myself being excited for how much i still have to improve.

I was struggling with hoffa fat pad inflammation and costochondritis and i wasnt treating it as if it were tms but my knee hasnt felt better since i first got problems. I wasnt expecting it to go away at all and im kind of shocked my knee has felt so good. I had acl surgery and rehab went incredible but started developing problems more than a year post op. I'm still in denial but I really wanted to share this nonetheless.

As for my main problem hyperacusis, well: the fireworks will be gone, and summer is already on its way. I'll just be going on and on and on. There is nothing left to choose. I will journal until my hands fall off. And if nothing, I'll still have learnt an incredible amount about myself and have met resilient loving folks who have inspired me deeply.

Thanks to all. Happy new year and the absolute best wishes.<3
