Sarno’s entire theory is based around repressed emotions esp. subconscious rage and personality traits, and breaking through fear.
PRT is centered around breaking through fear by desensitizing your nervous system response.
This is a highly simplified comparison. Both are more nuanced.
However, one needs to start somewhere.
Reading Sarno and Gordon’s work is a great foundation. I blended both methods to start, now focused more on Sarno (and others). Keep it simple to start.
