    So,

As I pursue TMS work, should I leave the various illness support groups I’ve found myself in? Like SFN, Pelvic Dysfunction, and Pudendal Neuralgia groups?

    Thanks,
    Eric

Yep, if you haven't already done so get yourself checked out medically, but leave the groups. Regarding pudendal neuralgia-like symptoms, I suggest you read Ezer's story/thread regarding his recovery from symptoms that were labelled as being pudendal neuralgia when they were actually mind/body/TMS https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/pelvic-pain-healed.8680/ (Pelvic Pain - Healed) (Pelvic Pain - Healed). Ezer was involved in managing one of those groups I believe, until he realised what was actually going on and causing his symptoms.

Oh yeah, that's essential @Revvy1337. Anything that promotes victimhood must be immediately rejected. Victimhood is absolute anathema to TMS recovery!
Your avatar made me chuckle, but hopefully you'll be able to choose a new one someday. And also, welcomea

I have left the groups and deleted them off my search lists.

Excellent steps, @Revvy1337! Might also be helpful to be mindful of the algorithms that subtly feed information without sometimes realizing it, particularly if you have done a lot of searching on youtube or other platforms.

One thing that can also be helpful if you've experienced any of the excessive search loops, is to delete browser history - which can actually be helpful in many other ways too. Start anew!

Would this include using Dr Google and Chat GPT?

LOL ... Dr Google and AI is one of the biggest sources of mis-information. I'm a few months into my TMS journey and a couple of weeks ago I downloaded a URL blocker blocker extension. I got Google, Reddit and other sites on my black list. Reddit is the worst. I've come to the conclusion that there are a significant number of people on Reddit health forums with chronic symptoms that are TMS and they have no clue. Some spend years searching for solutions to their ills and get frustrated when nothing improves. I also believe there are agents from big pharma on Reddit to promote the drug industry.

Chat GPT just tells me what I want to hear, it has no clue. Whereas Grok tells me I could have X, Y, and Z.
