    Hi all,

I've been a TMSer for most of my life. For years, unbeknownst to myself I replaced symptoms with orher symptoms. I had a emtionally vacant father, became a nurse, which looking back was the worst decision for the people pleaser I was, and still am. Diagnosed with Bipolar in my teenage years. Enotionally bullied at school, no friends at times. I gave birth to 3 children, their births were traumatic. They are now in there teens. Motherhood did not come easy to me and i did most of the parenting as ny husband worked long hours. My dad died the year before covid, middle daughter struggled mentally during lock downs and i continued to work front line as a anuse...
Im saying all if this to say, each change happening brought on a TMS symptom.

I has studied Dr Sarno, Stevs Ozanich, Dr Scuhbiner, the SEP and success stories on here relating to my current symptoms which have hung around for 10 months.

Things that have worked for me.
    Getring rid of cushions.
    Reducing pain pills
Wearing shoes i stayed away from
Running and Crossfit, which both dont worsen tbe pain
    Taking time out if overwhelmed
Telling my body is not broken
Noticing how far i have come from being bed bound to walking, running, forgetting the pain on waking up
Recognising the fear of dying is a big challenge for me.
Telling people I'm much better even wben i didn't.
Knowing and believing the nind body connection wholeheartedly.
New symptoms never last long. The back /hips ans buttocks intermittently cause some issues but they soon lessen. Foot burning/psin harder to shift. I do believe these aymotoms, will pass.

Once i believed fear and rage were ones leading the way.... I began to turn my mind sight and make my brain my ally.

I am 70% better than 10 months ago.

Its possible with patience, work and tine.

Great story and wish u the best of luck. I too have sometimes bouts of stubborn muscle pain or back pain. Its annoying! The fear tries to strike at me making me think catastrophic thoughts. Once I get that, I get up , do a Fast run around the track and field or go to the Gym and work on my back! to my surprise...My back is strong as ever.
Sometimes muscle tension leads to other symptoms as well like ibs etc.
and it does take a while for some people but that is truly the answer! the mindbody!
