Hi All-
I'm new to the Forum and have worked through successfully Sarno's book in the past and was pain free for about 3 years. Then about 6 months ago I began to have back pain after an injury. It escalated and 2 months ago crippling pain with sciatica. MRI shows splonylolesthesis L5-S1, large herniated disk and consequently severe neural foraminal stenosis. Right away fear kicked in and after a few weeks I turned back to Sarno's books.
I lost my best friend, fur baby, and companion of 17.5 years about 4 months ago. I thought this might be all grief, but then it hit me that in losing him I lost my whole family. Someone else in the thread talked of journaling revealing feeling scared, alone, enraged, and shame. I can't say how many times I have written I feel terrified and alone. I think he kept the monsters at bay for so long and now it's all crashing down. I feel insecure about it being TMS and am having a hard time letting go of the gripper has on me at the moment. I will be working through this program and I am grateful to be here.
