So I am reading this right now and I feel like it has created more doubt for me. In one of the stories about a person with disc issues, he talks about Sarno and discs not causing pain but could cause muscle weakness or nerve dysfunction. That got me back to thinking to what damage I could be doing by continuing to be active, like maybe the pain doesn't mean anything but I could still be going the wrong way, especially considering the radicular pain I have in my arms.

So I'm not sure how to treat that in my view of my "structural" issues...

If your pain always returns to a baseline it's good evidence for you to believe you aren't damaging yourself. I could cause a high level of pain using my hands on a certain day and in 1 or 2 days I would always return to a baseline. I could also not use my hands hardly ever for an entire week and still return to the same baseline. This would go on for years. This gave me good evidence I wasn't damaging myself. If you have multiple body parts like this it's even more evidence. I had multiple body parts like this so the balance between them also told me it was impossible for me to be damaging one particular body part by using it if it reset to the others. You should try to find back success stories and see if they talk about the muscle weakness. You could also try to email Dr.Schubiner about these thoughts and see what he says about it.
