Hi all! I’m happy to have found this site and all of you.
I have been battling debilitating back issues since my teens (15 years of struggle and counting). When I had my son four years ago I spent most of my pregnancy bent over double and crawling up the stairs it was horrendous.
I’ve seen several physios chiros etc and all diagnosed SI joint dysfunction (hyper mobile) and said it was causing my pain and back spasms. I haven’t seen a lot about the SI joint and TMS... has anyone had success curing this with a TMS approach?
I am so desperate to get better and Dr Sarnos book really resonated with me. It took so much of my fear away and I did feel the pain settled / improved but then it came raging back (I know this can happen with TMS).
Things that hold me back from believing it’s TMS are the things I’ve been told by physios etc, I’ve even been shown a video of myself walking on a treadmill and how my hip drops lower than the other one. My physio also pushed my hips down on each side and said how there was hardly any ligament support on my ‘bad’ side. He made me wear a support belt and said I should wear it everyday. These things all stick in my mind and go against the other part of me that believes this could be TMS. I’ve never had any scans. I worry they will show something that makes me even more upset about my back.
Thank you for you support or advice!
