    Hi,
I am traveling to the East Coast, with my young boys, to visit my family. While I was visiting on the east coast, my husband and father in law (all people survived) were in a plane crash. By some miracle, the pilot and all 10 passengers survived. And then were airlifted by helicopter to the hospitals. They were in Alaska, my husband had surgery there and they were released and are home (West Coast). My husband has two broken feet and is in pain, as one could imagine. My FIL is beat up but did not require surgery. My flight home to the West coast is delayed/cancelled and rescheduled. And this morning, my back went out. I am trying to work through this and "Sarno this shit" as we say in my house. Please send me some words of wisdom. Thank you.

Sounds very much like PTSD intensified by sympathetic feelings for your husband and his injuries. A whole complex of stressors and triggers concentrated in a short period of space and time. I would think you were very lucky to only have your "back go out". That is, if you want to call it bad luck. I'd think you should assume you'll be in a recovery mode for a good long time. But just surviving such a plane crash has to be a very affirmative event in its own right too.
