Day 9 Self Criticism

    Have you been overly critical of yourself lately? Sometimes I feel that I have a lack of self worth. I also find that I beat myself up over the pain symptoms (how could this happen to me? etc.) I put pressure on myself to provide and sometimes believe that I am a failure. Does anybody have any experience or comments regarding the above criticisms? Thank you again.

    Being self critical is a very common trait of TMS. It’s hard to change, but as you work in it, things can get better. There’s a book that really helped me a lot with this, called Feeling Good, by David Burns.
