I’m seeing a psychotherapist on Wednesday. They usually say the first step is often the hardest and that I need help!

    Is that a TMS pyschotherapist?

It seems that another presence could be helpful right now but I would like to second many of the other suggestions made to you on the forum which is to read Sarno and get immersed in the TMS material. Nicole Sachs, a great TMS practitioner, says that one of the 3 parts of recovering from TMS is belief -> in my experience deep belief comes from education and the more ways we can hear the TMS message the better for our confidence to grow.

Yes, TMS psychotherapist. Right now, I’m so depressed I just want to sleep. The symptoms I get are depressing me. I’m in a dark place. My logical brain thinks the sensations aren’t that bad but my emotional brain is shutting down.

I had my consultation today and my very first appointment will be on July 14th. The therapist believes my urological procedures put my nervous system in hyperdrive. I just haven’t been able to get back to normal. Other people don’t have body wide paresthesias that wander for instance (believes this is TMS).
