    Hi everyone!

Here’s what’s been working for me the most lately:

I’m Finally following Sarno’s recommendation to “get on with life.” (Surprise, surprise!) I believe this is a mental place to be as well as a physical place. It’s actually a hard place to get to —or at least it was for me. I had to dig out of the doubt and fears that overwhelmed me. At first I went through a huge learning process. But, I finally got to the doing process— which, for some of us involves a lot of pain and fear. It makes you avoid it.

What has helped me get to this place of doing has involved:

—Significantly limiting my time spent on anything to do with TMS.

—Using somatic tracking while I’m doing things. It makes the pain sensations less significant because I’m just observing them.

—THINKING and PRETENDING that my life is already normal. (This part is huge.) It’s almost more a mindset than anything else.

Mindset is everything. I had wondered if you had limited yourself on this forum to just live your life! It's good to hear that you are making progress and finding tools that are working for you!

Great to hear. I think state of mind (or mindset as @Joulegirl says) is the most important part of TMS recovery. It's why I keep that Jon Kabat-Zinn quote in my signature. Acceptance = peace of mind = health
