Hey! Robots get TMS, too. They need help just like the rest of us.
Yeah, @jaumeb has it. There was a point where half of our traffic was from a specific Chinese search engine that seemed to think we were really interesting. We have great software, though, that can identify the known robots, so when you look at the number of time a thread has been viewed, it doesn't include robots. On sites with less current software, if you see a number signifying how many times the thread has been viewed, that will include visits by robots, which makes the stats less informative. Basically, no one cares how often a robot reads the thread. We want to know how often a real person read and was affected by what we read.
