I wrote this article on my blog describing how I got over my TMS caused RSI / hand pain.
It contains a few ups and downs and hopefully conveys how emotional the journey has been for me.
As I explained in the article, reading the success stories of others is one of the things that really helped me. It gave me the strength to come back from a nasty relapse. I hope by posting this link here it could be of use to others in a similar way, particularly to those who work in IT perhaps...
I am happy to answer any questions.

This is a fantastic write-up, @wawaweewa, thank you for posting the link here. I was shaking my head at the (as of today) four responses you received, all from narrow minds who are attached to their victimhood. But there is always a possibility that a seed which lands in an inhospitable spot might unexpectedly encounter a random confluence of conditions that allow it to eventually take root and perhaps even flourish.

I particularly appreciate this (with my emphasis):
It is still however a ongoing process. My pain has not disappeared without a trace. Its still present in certain situations albeit much diminished in intensity. I don't think it is wise or even desirable to make a goal to completely and indefinitely rid oneself of pain. I think the pain acts as a messenger from your body and your unconscious. The intensity of the message can vary greatly, it might be a text message, it might be a fire alarm. Either way it is an invitation to engage with parts of oneself that may not have been given the attention they require. To have the explicit goal to eliminate pain would be to shoot the messenger, which does not go down well in my experience.

First of all thanks so much for reading the whole thing! I know its a pretty long winded post with lots of details about how I tried to cope so thanks so much for taking the time!
I'm not sure if you remember, but there is a part where I talk about getting stuck in a rabbit hole on reddit and convincing myself that my situation was hopeless. Anyways, after making this post on the TMS forum I decided to go back to that very same reddit forum that I lurked on, and make a post linking to my blog & the TMS wiki to see if I could help a few people... (I wasn't expecting much)
I coded my blog to synchronise with reddit and display the replies as comments to my blog, so that should explain where the responses you saw came from!
As you saw for yourself the responses are not particularly promising, but I was not expecting much different since I was very much the same before I finally opened my mind.
Anyway, I would have felt guilty for getting better and not sharing my success story with them, so I'm not too bothered about it! :)

Aha! That explains the consistency of the responses :hilarious:. It will be an interesting experiment, that's for sure!

Oh boy the comments on that page, those poor people are so lost in modern medical dogma. Someone should link them the boulder back study.

and I think I saw you on Dan Buglios YouTube, if I, thinking of the same person, so happy for you! You deserve the best.
