    Hello everyone

I had two consequtive injuries skiing and horse riding in January and March this year.

Since then I’ve had persistent head and neck nerve pain, significant investigations including MRI of my whole upper body all to no structural findings and have since learned a lot about TMS/MBS. I had an injection to the Greater Occipital Nerve which quelled symptoms for about 10 days.

Some of the biggest clues I have that it’s central sensitisation/TMS/MBS
    - I have severe anxiety and fear that I will be like this forever
    - when I had a cold it went away
    - the conclusive MRI and CT scanning
    - it got progressively better then progressively worse

    My biggest doubts and hurdles
    - fear I’ll never be the same
    - fear that nerve pain cannot be TMS as can’t find examples of success
    - fear that concussion cannot be TMS as can’t find examples of success
    - I have a lot of neck grinding and crunching and trying to convince my brain that the sounds are harmless is one of my biggest challenges to prove it’s TMS
    - months of reading stories about people who never healed from whiplash (assuming they never found the causes being TMS)

    thanks for listening.

I’d like to connect with anyone that’s on the same journey as me if there’s anyone out there!

Hello, @HealingNow and welcome. I have good news for you: Everyone here is on the same journey, and we are also here to support yours! Although given the fact that many of our community are in the US, things are a bit quiet this week as we are distracted by the Thanksgiving holiday :p

Our recommendation - after reading at least one book by Dr Sarno - is to start doing the free Structured Educational Program which is on our main tmswiki.org site. It will help you to stop focusing on the physical symptoms and start looking at your psychological conditioning, going back to long before your sports accidents. The program is free of cost, or even of any kind of registration, so you literally have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Once again - regardless of individual symptoms, everyone here is quite literally on their own unique variation of the same journey, and we're here to support yours, so just take the plunge!
