I had back pain but not pelvic pain. I think pelvic pain is "just' another symptom brought on by TMS and we need to discover the emotional causes of the pain. I suggest you look up Steve Ozanich's posts in the subforums and read his advice on healing. He had multiple pains until he discovered they were caused by his emotions and were not structural. His book tells about it... THE GREAT PAIN DECEPTION. You can also read what others say about his book by doing a Google search for his book and reading the comments from readers.

You are not alone in your pain. A fellow in Austria says his foot pain keeps him on a couch most of the day and night. He started the Structured Educational Program and if you haven't done that yet, I urge you to begin. It's free in the subforum on this web site. It has helped me and thousands of others to become pain-free.

And keep positive. Don't let yourself be discouraged. If you work on TMS and truly believe in it, you will be posting your success story. That's another plae to look for encouragement, the success stories in that subforum.

Tell yourself often and over and over again: "My pain is from my emotions. It is not structural."

Have you had a medical checkup to learn if there is a structural cause of your pelvic pain? It could have come on from lifestyle activities and even from the diet.

Gaby sorry to hear u r in so much pain. You said you got better before so I'm sure if u apply the same techniques u used last time, u will get better again.

Can u identify any triggers that may have caused the pain to resurface? If so maybe u can journal about them & dig a bit deeper into what is going on.

    All the best

    Mala

Gaby, sadness may well be the cause. As Walt said do the Structured Educational Programme, it will lead you thru all the possible reasons for your pain - it will be a combination of your past experiences, particularly as a child, and the things that have 'triggered' your symptoms since, and your own personal characteristics. As you do the programme - day by day you will discover why you have pain and you will learn what tools to use to heal yourself. (journaling, meditation, mindfulness, life changes, attitude changes....) You will find the things that work for you - and you WILL be able to overcome your pain. Have faith and take it day by day.
Two years ago I was a disabled person of 22 years - now I am a hiking, cycling, landscape gardener ... and it started with the Structured Educational Programme.... and Dr Sarno of course!!

You recovered before so there is a good chance u can do it again. Of course pls rule out any serious medical condition first. There r others here who have had pelvic pain & have recovered . Maybe do a search & read their posts.

Here is a link to an excellent audio interview between Abigail Steidley & Dr. Schubiner on the subject of pelvic pain being TMS. I think it will help a lot. Abigail suffered a long time with pelvic pain & in the interview Dr. Schubiner explains very clearly why PP is TMS.

    Good luck
