Next book for the Tuesday call-in?

Hi Forest

I'm not sure if many people have read Dr James Alexander's 'The Hidden Psychology of Pain', but I've just started it and there's so much good stuff in there. I'd be very keen to hear other opinions, and I think it would help my understanding too.

It looks like a fascinating read and I'm sure many will benefit from exploring its contents. Unfortunately with the time difference and work commitments I will only be able to listen in to the recordings, but I'd be delighted if this book was chosen as I'm eager to get my teeth into it.

I had the good fortune of speaking with Dr Alexander during a TMS relpase in February, and after discovering he lived in Australia I was eager to have a consult with him. I was even prepared to fly to Sydney to meet with him, especially as TMS doctors are thin on the ground here. He phoned me one day and we spoke for some time (at no cost). I was so grateful he took the time to call me especially as he is such a busy man. He was so kind and supportive and gave me so much encouragement.

Hi, Colly, Dr. Alexander's book would be great for a call-in. Forest has this and others in mind.

Herbie and I are going to do a final call-in on our book Tuesday July 8, talking about
what we didn't have time for in the TMS P.S. section last week.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.

I love Dr. Alexanders Book "The Psychology of Pain". I hope this is going to be next, but I also love Nicole Sachs book "The Meaning of Truth" too so we will see. Awesome

Ugh! Thank you Walt and Herbie for jogging my memory. I just realized that I may have already committed to doing The Meaning of Truth by Nicole Sachs, LCSW next. If I remember, she may have agreed to call in while we did the book, which I think would be great, given that she received referrals from Dr. Sarno.

I'm sorry for not thinking of this earlier, Colly!

I will look up some information and then post back here. It may take a little while, though. In the meantime, if anyone has any thoughts to share, I'd certainly love to hear them.

For background, here is a review of The Meaning of Truth by @Mermaid:
I must have read every TMS self-help book available, although I understood the concept and knew what was causing all my pain and anxiety I never had the courage to tackle it head on until I read this book. It's the most honest uplifting book I have ever read, Nicole holds nothing back and teaches us in her own unique way that neither should we. Anyone would benefit from her insights, it's just a better way to live.

And here is an interview I did with Nicole. I just nodded and listened, but Nicole has such a powerful story that I think it's worth any TMSer's time to watch:

Sounds great Forest! No worries, I'll get the chance to read Alexander's book and then have more to contribute when we do get around to this one:-)

My vote's for Nicole's book too since I'm currently reading it; I'm all the way up to page 136! I'll probably be listening in on the recordings since I still have my Tuesday night commitment conflicting. Herbie, Walt & God's book is next up on the TMS reading stack.

Cheers
