New TMS research published

Hi all,

I just saw that Dr. Schubiner and others now have a new article published that shows benefits of journaling/emotion expression type therapy for fibromyalgia! It was a randomized controlled trial (for those of you science minded, this is always good to see) that compared TMS type methods to education and cognitive behavioral therapy as the other groups. The TMS methods had the most pain reduction of course :)

I bet it gets a handful of views on the fibro forums before it gets lost between all the threads of people dismissing the idea that emotions have anything to do with it. I say, keep conducting studies like this, one day it will create a stack so high that people can no longer look over it. Thanks for posting this, maybe post a copy in or have it moved to the research section, because it is still awfully empty I feel.

Thanks for posting this abstract. I agree with Gigalos, people easily dismiss emotional causes for pain, not just FM pain. Well-meaning friends kindly inquire as to how I am doing and have I looked into the possibility of....... (Fill in the blank) as the REAL cause of my pain.
