Nerve injury, like spinal herniation, follows a specific path. How can this be TMS?

When you have a compressed disc, the pain and/or numbness follows a precise path.

If somebody is experiencing this, how can it be TMS? Does TMS state "hey, not only are we going to cause pain, we're going to specifically copy a known route across the body just so our person thinks it's a real injury?"

You're saying your discomfort followed the journey of the nerve as if the pain were from a spinal herniation, tracking the same innervation path, except it wasn't a herniation, it was mind?

Pinched nerve certainly can happen due to an actual injury. However, as it heals, symptoms fade away. Unlike TMS, where symptoms are chronic or recurrent.
