Hello guys! I'm a new comer here and I've discovered that I have TMS. I have constant anxiety, stress, depression, FEAR of hurting myself, pain in diferent parts of my body, constipation, insomnia, obsessive disorder and feeling alone. the only thing that didnt apply to me while reading sarno's healing back pain involved any part that involves having kids because I don't have any. So I have herniated disc l4-5 s 1 and I tried everything during the past 8 months and everything felt bad and made things even worst! (pt, chiro, aqua therapy, specialist everything except epidural). I'm always focused on the pain and want to make things clear up. Heres the thing, the only thing i've done is reading the book, memorizing the 12 reminders, read successful stories and think psychologically instead of physically. THATS THE HARD PART, think psychologically. I decided to accept sarnos diagnosis 100% and went back slowly to physical activities. I started to walk faster, did push ups and pull ups with planks. and heres the thing, everytime I do exercises (bodyweight exercises) i start getting tingling infront of my calfs after the workouts or after 3 hours of after the workout. thats the only thing that doesn't go away. I don't even know if this is sciatica because people say its behind the leg (hamstrings) but I try to think of something else when it happens, something beautiful in the past like going out with my friends or when i had the most fun with my family. and after 2 hours it starts to fade BUT if i check if its there i still feel it. its super hard to not think about the pain and just think of other things.
how did you guys manage sciatica or any other tms symptom? I haven't journalize or done anything else in particular. I'm just a 100% sarno's tms believer and im trying to conquer my fear by going slowly back to physical activity.
what did you guys do to beat this and return to normal?
(edit: I've gotten way better than before. I don't have back pain, just this front calf tingling sensation. also wanted to add that im trying to beat my programming done by doctos that told me to not sit or bend, run, etc because it causes pain. i can sit for longer times but that sensation doesnt go away. Also how long does your pain last? sarno says it takes time, but do you guys still jump back to activities even with the pain? or wait for it to fully go away? )
