My Beginning Success - Fibromyalgia

I say beginning because I have only done this program for about 2 weeks but I feel amazing! Pain has gone from a 10 to a 3. I'm so out of shape after having pain for 20+ years that I'm sure the remaining pain is from not using my muscles. I am 69 and started with pain in my shoulder when I was in my late 40's. I was in a very abusive marriage prior to that. My rage was just that...rage at him, his kids and the way I was being treated. I had the presence of mind to get out of that marriage and thought the pain would resolve but it only increased to all over my body during the last 20 years. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and as many of you know, they don't know what causes it or how to help it. BUT I was determined...so I tried just about everything...from diets to supplements to acupuncture to Ayurvedic medicine to pain meds to Medical Marijauna and on and on. Someone in the Fibro support group I'm on on Facebook mentioned The Divided Mind book by Dr. John Sarno. She also said she was pain free after reading it. So I bought it and read it thinking this will be like everything else. BUT no!! Halfway through the book, I was noticing less pain! And after finished the book, even less. It's only been 2 weeks but my mood has improved so much because I'm not fighting that daily, constant pain. I intend to be completely pain free and need to do more research to achieve that goal. For all of you Fibro sufferers, please read about TMS. I am so grateful to Dr, Sarno for his contribution to those of us who have suffered from pain.

So glad there are people mentioning Sarno in a Fibro support group. I try to do it from time to time, too. I'm one of the many people who have recovered from Fibromyalgia by treating it as TMS. You'll be totally pain free, too, if you just keep at it.
