Honestly it's not the program itself but the people in the community that serve as the biggest help. I get more benefit from reading stories from people who have had similar experiences to me or just talking to people here. I have developed a couple of solid connections outside of the main forum.

As for the program itself, I have preferred the journaling here to previously doing free journaling via JournalSpeak, in that there are varying times and styles in the program here as opposed to a steadfast 20 min a night that I can't always hit. I do still practice meditation after journaling per Nicole's method even if the program doesn't call for it just because it is a settling practice for me for my anxiety.

I couldn't agree more, clearly different tools are going to work for different people so I am also finding trying different styles of Journaling really useful - especially the unsent letter. Doing that in the 3rd person to some of my personality traits was a real eye opener and helped me see how bloody horrible I could be to myself. I also echo your thoughts on the community. It feels so safe in here which make being vulnerable so much easier.

    Dee,
You’re killing it with the journaling unsent letters. A great example to all of us! ❤️

Yes, regarding the unsent letters. I forgot about it but it helped me in the past. I'll use it more in the future. Thanks for reminding me. So many good things/tools that I forgot about...this mind forgets...I need to make some notes in my journal about all these things. I usually do but sometimes - I forget.

I appreciate the community as well, there is always a new great idea that someone has...and that is helpful. I also appreciate the sharing, and the open hearts. It's a compassionate group of people here...I can tell...and I appreciate the vibes. Everyone is different, yes, but each one has good intentions.

    Thank you!

I've always felt that one of the keys to success is this kind of ability to be flexible and creative and willing to put things together that speak to and work for you. Mix 'n match, baby!
