Massage makes pain worse

I am curious if anyone else has this happened or is this just me. I have had lower back pain which started after an muscle injury for two years. Last year summer the pain was gone for about 5 months but after a highly stressful time it returned. I am doing all my word and I have had some really good days but Whenever I get a deep tissue massage in my lower back (highly trained physical therapist) I feel great right after she is done. Almost no pain, but about two hours later it comes in in full rage. It’s like a 6 or 7. She told me that some soreness is normal, but what I experience should not happen. I know I have TMS and was wondering if anyone else has found that a massage makes the pain much more worse. Within three days after the pain goes back down and is back to a 2. Anyone?

When I had TMS, massage always made it worse. Like you, I had a delayed reaction.

I've had this too. It's like post exercise soreness but lasted a lot less longer.
