It is strange what things come up when you start writting down past experience. Some of these things I am aware of and some I had no idea about. I have never given up exercise as it has been very important to manage my anxiety and I was fearful that I would become one of those chronic pain patients I had seen in my practice. I had given up climbing and swimming because I have conditioned myself to experience pain with these activities. I have set dates for each of these activities. I will "face my fears" as Dr. Corday had told me to do at the age of six when confronted by my fear of school. That phobia turned into a conversion disorder (TMS). I need to get ready to go skiing. (not one of my feared activities). It is illogical that I can go skiing without a problem but then again we are talking about the unconscious mind.
