Is structural pain constant?

    I was wondering if structural pain was constant? I know tms pain can be constant too but if for example pain comes and goes with different activities or states of rest that usually means tms?

    for example in my last post i go into much more detail however i will just be brief here. Last night i just stretched and felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. This morning my shoulder still hurt but i went to the gym anyway to show whose boss! Unfortunately unlike usual the pain persist and was gradually getting worse so i called it quite early.

    Anyway i decided to go back to the gym and train legs.while training legs i noticed that there was no pain in my shoulder. On the walk home the pain started again. The pain was worse when i was lying in bed when i got back. The pain then got worse when i did some washing up and preparing dinner. The pain pretty much stopped while i was eating and now there is not much eaither. This sounds like tms doesn't it because if it was structural the pain would not ebb and flow like that?! I have lots of emotional baggage atm which i spoke about on my previous post but us tmsers need that certain clarification sometimes. I still have sharp pain in certain movements (getting comfy in my chair) but its still very early in this probable flare.

    When my pain was bad it was non stop - for years. Then when it got really low it would only hurt when I used that body part. The only body part I had where pain would come out of no where was my back pain. 3 different types of pain, 1 constant, 1 only when using, 1 coming and going and all of them were TMS. Coming and going pain is a lot easier for people to accept as TMS but TMS pain can be almost anything. Because I had shoulder pain and I have a tendon tear in my right shoulder from a motorcycle accident and I still don't have pain even when exercising I'd say you have TMS.

    None of these questions matter, except to recognize that this is your TMS brain trying to distract you with irrelevancies.

    Neuroscientific fact: all physiological processes and sensations or symptoms are created by our brains. The TMS mechanism is connected to the creation of sensations and processes, and it can create whatever it wants in order to achieve its goal of keeping you safely tucked away and not exposing yourself to the dangerous things that are causing you to be stressed out. (Mind you, your TMS brain is too primitive to understand that the things stressing you out in today's world are not life-threatening tigers!) Your job is to recognize when the mechanism is trying to trip you up, and counter it with rationality.

    In other words, the TMS brain mechanism is always affecting our perception of pain, and we can consciously affect that perception with mindfulness. This is the entire basis behind supreme athletic achievements and mind-over-body feats like walking on hot coals or lying on a bed of nails.

    I use my TMS mind control to avoid asking for a second injection during dental procedures even though I'm convinced that I've felt a twinge.

    When I broke my hip in 2008, my pain in the ER immediately plummeted from about an 8 to a 3 when they said they could pin me up the next day and have me on crutches the day after that. I didn't even take any painkillers other than OTC ibuprofen and acetaminophen because I wasn't in fear and thus had very little pain.

    It's all a matter of perception and deciding who's in charge.
