    Hi

I have been trying to use TMS/MBS to heal two numb fingertips which began with no injury but plenty of stress. I have had a whole range of TMS conditions in my life.

After a burst of enthusiasm I gave up for a while but recently got Dr Schubiner's book and have had some success ... oddly the fingers are just the same but IBS which I have had for around 35 years seems to have completely disappeared, even though (or perhaps because) this was not what I was focussing on.

Since the IBS disappeared I developed some pain around the back of my left ankle and at first I almost laughed at this, it was so obvious a substitution. But it has got more painful and the thing that is confusing me is at the end of the day the ankle appears red and swollen. Dr Google says achilles tendinopathy/tendinitis. I would totally believe it is TMS but for the signs of inflammation, which is confusing the hell out of me. Dr Schubiner is quite insistent that inflammation is not TMS/MBS.

    Thanks for any help/advice !

Dr. Schubiner seems clear that were there is a pathological injury: you broke something, you fell, etc that has been looked at by a medical Dr. and diagnosed as inflammation present, then you treat it. Unspoken is that it will heal in usual time.
He says TMS may present as inflammatory but inflammation may not be present. https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/tms-and-inflammation.5477/

    T
here are many success stories on the wiki of inflammatory-like tendon based pain symptoms Forrest’s story is one of them.
It is commonly documented that TMS can move around - you can get it checked out by a Doc if that will give you peace of mind
Dr. Hanscom has written a lot about inflammation which he notes is the presence of chemicals. He also notes that emotions are chemical based as are “states of mind” we can get stuck in eg. What I call “angry guy” (person who is always touchy, angry, crabby, bossy, demanding, inflexible, can’t let go) are associated with inflammation.
In essence; could be something, might be nothing.
What steps do you feel you need to have more peace with it? Go to the Dr and get it checked out or simply continue your TMS work focusing on emotions and mindset?

Thanks. I’m fairly convinced it is TMS as it appeared when it had fully dawned on me that my IBS had completely subsided. I just got thrown by the redness. I will treat it as TMS and see what happens

Love your willingness to respond to this with curiosity instead of panic and fear!
