How did you take that leap of faith . Just want to know and learn from your experiences

When I first started learning about TMS I was pretty convinced that I only had TMS and had many aha moments while read The way out but now for some reason I'm still doubting the process subconsciously and unable to still take that leap of faith . So I want to know how did you take that step .

And once you take that step do you still look back and have doubts?

I made a conscious decision to 'suspended my disbelief' and did mind/body/TMS work regardless... It means that when a doubt pops into your mind you let it go, you don't let it spiral, and instead you direct your attention to some aspect of the mind/body/TMS work that you are doing. Very gradually and eventually your doubts disappear (your brain gives up making you doubt because it realises that 'the gig is up' and it's useless to do so). That has been my experience.

Like @BloodMoon, I made the conscious decision to follow this path and see it through. Nothing else worked. I was out of options. Like @JanAtheCPA says … what the f*ck else can you do?…

It's not "some" random reason. This is literally your brain on TMS, trying to hold you back because it doesn't know any better and it thinks you're in danger if you proceed.

    Just say No.

    Hi @GokuGn
Gordon Alan’s program, as outlined in his book, The Way Out, is based on neuroscience, and has been proven highly effective in a clinical study. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapsychiatry/fullarticle/2784694

    M
aybe that can help convince you? Also, there’s a great workbook based on his treatment that has actually given me some relief. It’s called: The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook, by Vanessa Blackstone and Olivia Sinaiko

    I highly recommend it.

I've already completed reading The Way Out . Initially I made good progress but now it feels like taking one step forward and two steps backward which is still frustrating.

I totally sympathize and relate. I think this is usually the case.

As @Diana-M says, this is usually the case. The graph below is from the other book that @Diana-M recommended, i.e. 'The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook' by Vanessa Blackstone and Olivia Sinaiko, which illustrates how the path to recovery is usually far from linear. (The key/legend came out a bit small so just to say that the solid, black straight line is 'what people think healing looks like' and the meandering dotted line is 'what healing actually looks like'.)
